Job Description
Role Description
The Manager of Cybersecurity and Compliance is responsible for all global cybersecurity, privacy, and services. Leads teams focused on working with internal and external partners, helping to solve complex business issues from overall security strategy and execution to validation and compliance testing. Oversees a team dedicated to cybersecurity solutions and privacy compliance. Collaborates within the Information Services department and across all strategic business units as the architect and steward of global cybersecurity and privacy to protect all Hunter Industries environments.
This role is performed remotely, with regular visits to our San Marcos, CA headquarters required. We are only considering candidates in California, Arizona, and Nevada at this time.
Essential Functions:
- Leads a team of Cybersecurity engineers responsible for designing, implementing, managing, monitoring, and troubleshooting cybersecurity defenses, including configuration management, network security, systems security, and monitoring tools.
- Develops and maintains a global Cybersecurity roadmap that meets the future needs of the business.
- Collaborates within IT and global business units to develop plans and successfully execute technology projects that support the infrastructure roadmap.
- Responsible for hiring, training, performance management, and other people leadership activities.
- Oversees the regular scanning and analysis of the company's networks, applications, and systems to identify vulnerabilities.
- Prioritizes vulnerabilities based on risk and develops strategic plans for mitigation or remediation.
- Develops dashboards, KPIs, and actionable steps to enable environment owners to develop remediation strategies and reduce the attack surface.
- Collaborates with IT and development teams to ensure timely patching of vulnerabilities.
- Partners with asset owners and stakeholders across the organization to drive vulnerability remediation.
- Educates teams on best practices for vulnerability management and remediation.
- Ensures compliance with relevant security regulations and standards. Prepares and presents regular vulnerability exposure reports to senior management.
- Supports incident response teams in the event of a security breach or other incidents.
- Develops and refines vulnerability management policies and procedures to enhance the organization's security posture.
- Acts as a key point of contact for vulnerability management issues within the organization.
- Communicates effectively with other managers and stakeholders to align security measures with business objectives.
- Keeps abreast of new security technologies and integrates innovative tools and technologies to enhance vulnerability management capabilities.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, computer science, or MIS, or a combination of education and relevant work experience.
Requirements
- Minimum 8 years of IT experience in a mid-size or larger enterprise, and 6+ years of Cybersecurity experience.
- Minimum 3 years of experience leading a security team.
