Job Description
Role Description
The Associate Counsel supports 360 Behavioral Health’s mission by providing sound, confidential legal counsel across the organization. This role helps ensure compliance, mitigate legal risk, and support ethical, sustainable business operations in service of individuals with autism and other developmental disabilities.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide timely legal guidance to leadership and staff
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts
- Support legal strategy and risk mitigation initiatives
- Review policies, letters, and internal documents for legal impact
- Maintain legal records and contracts (Ironclad)
- Support Legal & Compliance KPIs and best practices
- Assist with HIPAA privacy and security compliance and training
- Manage regulatory matters, subpoenas, records requests, and litigation support
- Support audits, investigations, M&A activity, and due diligence
- Create and maintain legal templates, policies, and procedures
- Conduct legal research and prepare summaries and reports
- Maintain Legal & Compliance SharePoint, filing, and calendars
- Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
- 4–8+ years of general legal/corporate experience (law firm or in-house)
- J.D. Degree from an ABA-approved law school
- Licensed by the State Bar of California
- Active member in good standing with the CA Bar
- Strong knowledge of state and federal laws
- Healthcare, employment, privacy, or compliance experience preferred
Requirements
- Must be located in California
- Ability to travel occasionally to Orange County or Los Angeles County
