Role Description
The Project Manager (PM) will oversee a new program to provide case management support services for FCRHA/HCD housing program residents. This role ensures these residents are provided case management to meet immediate needs and develop long-term self-sufficiency goals.
- Responsible for providing day-to-day management and support of the FCRHA/HCD Case Management program.
- Serves as the contractor interface and customer relations manager with FCHRA and HCD.
- Oversees service delivery including assessment, case management, employment, education/skill building, financial literacy, landlord outreach, housing services, and service coordination.
- Manage and/or coordinate with agencies such as Fairfax County and nonprofit organizations on housing-related issues.
- Develop and manage program budgets, forecasts, and expenditure tracking.
- Inform County leadership about legislative impacts on the local, state, and federal levels.
- Analyze housing trends, utilization data, and community needs.
- Evaluate programs and services and make recommendations for improvements or new initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with program requirements.
- Prepare and submit monthly reports detailing case management activities and progress toward FCRHA’s identified desired outcomes.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in public administration, Urban Planning, Social Work, Business Administration, or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in affordable housing, housing program administration, public sector management, or related field.
- Minimum of five (5) years of supervisory experience.
- Strong knowledge of affordable housing regulations and funding structures.
- Strong analytical skills and comfort working with program data and reporting tools.
- Ability to effectively use Microsoft Office programs.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic public-sector environment.
- Cultural competency and commitment to equity in housing access.
- Ability to travel as needed within Fairfax County, VA.

- Ability to successfully complete a pre-employment and government background investigation to include FBI fingerprints.

Physical Demands
Works in office areas. Sits, stands, bends, lifts, and moves intermittently during working hours. Uses computer, telephones, copiers, printers, and other office equipment. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Work Environment
