The Director of Security Engineering and Operations provides strategic leadership and oversight across the Information Security Engineering, Security Operations, and Identity & Access Management (IAM) functions. In this role you will ensure alignment of engineering, operations, and identity programs with organizational objectives, regulatory obligations, and industry best practices.

WHAT YOU CAN EXPECT

• Oversee the strategic direction for engineering, operations, and IAM programs, ensuring cohesive multi‑year roadmaps across all teams.

• Partner with the CISO to align departmental strategies, budgets, technology acquisitions, and staffing with business needs.

• Guide managers in developing departmental roadmaps and ensuring consistency with enterprise architecture and governance.

• Facilitate alignment across engineering, operations, and IAM to ensure seamless integration of controls, processes, and technologies.

• Review and approve recommendations for security technologies, tools, and methodologies.

• Serve as an escalation point during security incidents or IAM challenges.

• Oversee creation and publication of policies, standards, and guidelines.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's Degree Information Security, Information Systems, MBA, or other related field - Required -OR-

• 10 years' experience in lieu of degree - Required

• 8 years progressive leadership experience across security domains - Required

• 5 years Healthcare industry experience - Preferred

• CISSP, CISM, CISA, GIAC or comparable certifications obtained within 1 year of hire - Required
