Job Description
Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Product Delivery Manager / Scrum Master to drive the successful delivery of complex, cross-functional product initiatives from inception to launch. You will serve as both a servant leader and an execution engine — facilitating agile ceremonies, removing blockers, and ensuring teams operate with clarity, velocity, and purpose.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and facilitate all Scrum ceremonies — sprint planning, daily standups, sprint reviews, and retrospectives — ensuring they are purposeful and time-boxed.
- Own and maintain the product backlog in partnership with the Product Owner, ensuring stories are well-groomed, estimated, and prioritized ahead of each sprint.
- Track and communicate sprint progress, delivery velocity, and release forecasts to stakeholders using dashboards and written status updates.
- Partner with engineering leads to define Definition of Ready and Definition of Done standards, maintaining quality gates across the SDLC.
- Champion agile best practices and coach team members at all levels on Scrum principles, fostering a self-organizing, high-trust team culture.
- Coordinate UAT, release readiness reviews, and go-live activities in collaboration with QA, DevOps, and business stakeholders.
Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience as a Scrum Master, Delivery Manager, or equivalent agile delivery role in a software product environment.
- Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Master (PSM I/II) certification; active practice of Scrum or SAFe frameworks.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple concurrent sprints or workstreams across distributed, cross-functional teams.
- Proficiency with agile project management tooling such as Jira, Azure DevOps, or Linear, including board configuration and reporting.
- Strong facilitation, communication, and conflict-resolution skills with a track record of influencing without authority.
- Experience creating and presenting delivery metrics (velocity, burn-down/burn-up, cycle time, cumulative flow) to technical and non-technical audiences.
- Solid understanding of the software development lifecycle, including CI/CD pipelines, release management, and QA processes.
Preferred Qualifications
- SAFe Agilist (SA) or SAFe Scrum Master (SSM) certification, or experience operating within a Scaled Agile Framework at program or portfolio level.
- Background in product management or business analysis, with the ability to write and refine user stories and acceptance criteria independently.
- Experience delivering SaaS, mobile, or data-platform products in a fast-scaling startup or enterprise digital transformation context.
- Familiarity with OKR frameworks and experience connecting sprint-level delivery to company-level strategic objectives.
- Exposure to Kanban, Shape Up, or dual-track discovery/delivery models as a complement to Scrum.
- Experience managing vendor or outsourced development teams alongside in-house engineering squads.
- Comfort with lightweight data analysis using tools such as Confluence, Notion, Tableau, or Excel to surface delivery insights.
