The Senior Software Engineer will work on backend services, RESTful APIs, and event-driven systems, collaborating closely with AI, mobile, and clinical operations teams. - Design, develop, and scale backend services and RESTful APIs using Python (FastAPI) and Java (Spring Boot).
- Architect and implement AI agents, including prompt engineering, evaluation, and continuous improvement workflows.
- Build event-driven systems and internal APIs to enable reliable, real-time communication across services.
- Drive technical architecture decisions in collaboration with engineering and product leadership.
- Own projects end-to-end: design, implementation, testing, deployment, and operational support.
- Manage and enhance CI/CD pipelines to support rapid and safe feature releases.
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize system performance to support high throughput and growth.
- Partner closely with Product, Design, DevOps, and AI/ML teams to align technical execution with product goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related STEM field (Master’s preferred).
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience in backend or full-stack development.
- Strong proficiency in Python and/or Java, with hands-on experience in microservices using FastAPI or Spring Boot.
- Deep understanding of API design (REST), authentication/authorization (OAuth2, JWT), and data modeling.
- Experience designing event-driven systems and distributed architectures.
- Practical experience with AI systems, including prompt engineering or AI service integration.
- Strong debugging, performance optimization, and production support skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; ability to collaborate effectively across teams.
- Experience with AWS, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines is a plus; prior AI-native product experience is advantageous.
