- Serve as the senior market-shaping leader for National Guard and Homeland Defense, leveraging an established network to influence capability requirements and program priorities.
- Drive early visibility for emerging Programs of Record and OTA opportunities, ensuring technical alignment with long-term modernization roadmaps.
- Coordinate pursuit strategies across Business Development, Account Sales, and OEM/Prime teams, aligning internal stakeholders on messaging and strategic objectives.
- Provide continuous market intelligence on tactical communications, network modernization, and spectrum/EW trends, identifying emerging opportunities for revenue growth.
- Represent the organization at senior National Guard, DoD, and industry forums, promoting thought leadership and building institutional advocacy.
- Develop and execute the National Guard Market Development Plan, defining objectives, key relationships, and pursuit milestones.
- Travel as needed (up to 50%) to maintain strong customer engagement and relationship management.
Qualifications
- High school diploma/GED required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
- Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic relationship management, account management, or government relations within the defense sector.
- Extensive prior U.S. Army service (e.g., former General Officer) or senior civilian/defense industry executive experience (GS-15/SES equivalent).
- Established network of senior-level National Guard contacts (TAG, NGB, program offices).
- Deep knowledge of U.S. Army tactical networks, modernization programs, and procurement processes.
- Exceptional executive communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
- Strong strategic planning and ability to operate autonomously as a trusted advisor.
- Active U.S. Government SECRET clearance or ability to obtain within 15 months of hire.
- U.S. Citizenship required.
