Role Description
Staff designated at Dickinson Wright PLLC (“the Firm”) as Project Manager, Enterprise Solutions will play a critical role in advancing the firm’s strategic goals by ensuring effective project management practices across the organization. This role will lead and deliver enterprise systems projects—such as system upgrades, system implementations, and cross-functional initiatives involving multiple teams and integrated systems—to improve reliability, security, scalability, and overall user experience. This role resides in the Enterprise Project Management Office (EPMO), but interacts with key stakeholders across the Firm.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Project Leadership & Execution
- Define project scope, goals, deliverables, and success metrics in collaboration with stakeholders.
- Develop detailed project plans, timelines, resource allocations, and budgets.
- Develop and maintain tools and dashboards to provide real-time visibility into project status, milestones, and KPIs for key stakeholders and leadership.
- Lead cross-functional project teams, ensuring clear roles, responsibilities, and accountability.
- Monitor project progress and proactively manage risks, issues, and changes in scope.
- Ensure timely and effective communication with stakeholders at all levels, including regular status updates and executive reporting.

Enterprise Platform Project Delivery
- Lead end-to-end project management for enterprise-wide projects (e.g., core application upgrades, new system implementations, infrastructure/software lifecycle refreshes), from initiation through execution and post-implementation review in predictive, hybrid, and agile environments.
- Partner with IT and business stakeholders to define requirements, dependency maps, cutover approaches, support models, and success measures for enterprise systems.
- Coordinate across internal teams (e.g., IT Infrastructure, Innovation & Data Strategy, Legal Operations, Accounting & Finance, HR, Marketing) and external vendors to deliver integrated solutions with minimal business disruption.
- Manage vendor and system integrator activities, including project governance, milestone acceptance, RAID (risks, assumptions, issues, dependencies), and deliverable quality controls.
- Plan and execute implementation activities including environment readiness, data conversion (as applicable), integrations, testing coordination, training readiness, go-live support, and transition to operations.

Governance, Risk, and Integrated Systems Delivery
- Establish and run project governance routines (steering committee cadence, decision logs, change control) for complex, cross-functional enterprise-wide platform initiatives.
- Identify and manage cross-system and cross-team dependencies, including integration points, sequencing constraints, and release scheduling.
- Maintain clear documentation of project artifacts (charters, plans, schedules, testing plans, cutover plans, runbooks) to support auditability and operational handoff.

Change Management and Adoption
- Develop and execute change management plans to support user adoption of new tools and processes.
- Provide training, documentation, and support to end users and stakeholders.
- Measure and report on adoption rates and project impact.
- Support continuous improvement measures of the EPMO’s processes, policies and systems.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Project Management, or a related field and/or a minimum of 5 years of experience in project management, with a focus on legal or professional services environment.
- Demonstrated experience delivering enterprise system implementations/upgrades with integrated systems, multiple workstreams, and formal cutover/go-live planning.
- Self-motivated individual able to independently manage multiple requests, assess priorities and achieve solutions in accordance with deadlines.
- Experience in aligning teams, managing relationships, and being a servant leader to help achieve team goals.
- Advanced organizational skills, including the ability to manage a high volume of work with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills at all levels within an organization and the ability to build and maintain effective relationships with attorneys, clients and staff.
- Ability to think strategically, prioritize effectively, and make decisions in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong understanding of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Predictive) and tools (e.g., Smartsheet, MS Project, Microsoft Teams, Asana, JIRA).
- Willingness to pursue relevant certifications such as PMP, Lean, Six Sigma, or CMPAI (Certified Manager of Process Automation and Innovation), if not already held.
Requirements
- Normal law office environment with little exposure to noise, dust, temperature.
- This is a remote position. Applicants should reside within driving distance of a Dickinson Wright location.
- Travel requirement: less than 5% travel to Dickinson Wright offices.
