Position Summary

The Sr. Manager, Digital Product is a member of the Aetna Digital Member Experience Team responsible for translating business and customer needs into clear, actionable work for a cross-functional delivery team. This role defines and refines user stories, prioritizes the team backlog, and ensures the team is focused on delivering the highest-value outcomes for both members and colleagues.

This position streamlines day-to-day execution while maintaining the conceptual and technical integrity of the team’s features and components. The role is accountable for ensuring work meets quality expectations and is completed according to agreed standards, including serving as the primary approver for stories marked complete (“done”).

The Sr. Manager, Digital Product partners closely with product leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to align priorities, prepare the team for planning and delivery cycles, and coordinate inputs across design, engineering, data, and operational partners to deliver valuable digital and omnichannel experiences.

Key Responsibilities

  • Product Strategy & Road mapping: Define and drive the roadmap for multiple product areas, aligning vision with business goals and constituent needs (member or colleagues, as appropriate)
  • Cross-Portfolio Collaboration: Work closely with product leads and stakeholders across business segments, digital, and operational teams to ensure cohesive planning and execution.
  • Team Leadership: Guide cross-functional teams—including engineering, UX, data science, and data experts—through discovery, delivery, and continuous improvement.
  • Customer-Centered Innovation: Leverage data, research, and experimentation to identify pain points and opportunities that enhance member and colleague engagement and outcomes.
  • Agile Execution: Translate strategic objectives into actionable features and user stories, driving execution in a SAFe train structure
  • Risk & Dependency Management: Proactively manage interdependencies, risks, and tradeoffs to ensure timely delivery of impactful solutions.
  • Performance Optimization: Define KPIs and success metrics to track progress, generate insights, and drive iterative enhancements.
  • Market Awareness: Stay informed on digital health trends, emerging technologies, and industry innovations that impact our industry.
  • Ability to work independently and a get-it-done mindset

Required Qualifications

  • 7 years of experience in product functions, with a strong history of delivering health care products at scale. Background in health tech, digital health, or related fields, with a deep understanding member and colleague experience
  • 7 years of experience with developing product strategies, influencing stakeholders, and managing complex roadmaps.
  • 5 years of Agile/SAFe or similar methodologies and leading cross-functional ceremonies experience.
  • 5 years of experience with professional communication and good business acumen skills. Ability to bridge technical and non-technical audiences.
  • 5 years of experience using analytics and experimentation to guide decisions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in large, matrixed organizations
  • Familiarity with healthcare data and processes
  • Experience with data tools such as: Jira, Adobe, Miro, etc.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience

Pay Range

The typical pay range for this role is:

$118,450.00 - $236,900.00


This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls.  The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.  This position is eligible for a CVS Health bonus, commission or short-term incentive program in addition to the base pay range listed above.  This position also includes an award target in the company’s equity award program.
