Please note this is not an entry-level role. We are seeking 2+ years of experience in conference production, editorial programming, content development, or a related role.  

Questex is seeking a Conference Producer to join the Fierce Life Sciences & Healthcare Events team. We have an exciting opportunity for a candidate who thrives at the intersection of content strategy, executive engagement, and live/virtual programming. Knowledge of the U.S. healthcare ecosystem — including payers, health systems, hospitals, health IT, digital health — or the pharmaceutical, biotech, and life sciences industry preferred. If you are intellectually curious about healthcare transformation, comfortable conducting executive-level conversations, and excited to shape industry dialogue through high-impact events and webinars, we’d love to hear from you. 

The preferred work location is remote, US.

As our Conference Producer, you’ll support Questex’s success by: 

Conducting extensive market research and targeted outreach to develop engaging live experiences and educational conferences. Conference Producers are responsible for managing each conference while collaborating with the marketing and sales departments in pursuit of shared revenue goals. This position also plays a key role in developing and leading thought leadership initiatives, including webinars, virtual events, podcasts, whitepapers and other products across the Fierce portfolio, with the opportunity to moderate sessions and conduct executive interviews. 

This role will afford the opportunity to understand the inner workings of the healthcare and life sciences industry, while interacting and engaging with C-suite and senior executive leadership from leading organizations in the space. The ideal candidate has experience conducting market research, developing compelling executive-level content, recruiting high-level speakers, and confidently leading webinars and interviews. Prior knowledge of the healthcare ecosystem (payers, providers, health IT, digital health, insurance models, value-based care) is strongly preferred. 

Responsibilities:   

  • Conducting in-depth market research to identify potential topics, current news and trends 
  • Cultivating strong relationships with subject matter experts and key members of the industry to become potential speakers, advisory board members and advocates for events 
  • Developing content and overseeing all aspects of a program throughout its life cycle 
  • Recruiting speakers efficiently and leading speaker preparation calls to ensure high-quality, insight-driven sessions 
  • Moderating webinars and live event sessions, and conducting executive-level interviews with professionalism and confidence 
  • Helping to inform marketing strategy and develop messaging and materials for websites, emails and social media  
  • Collaborating with the sales team to assist in identifying potential event sponsors and developing key messaging for clients 
  • Working with clients and internal colleagues to develop and execute thought leadership offerings, including webinars, podcasts and white papers  
  • Traveling to conferences to manage and provide onsite support in a professional, customer-service-oriented manner 

What we will love about your background: 

  • A strong understanding of the healthcare ecosystem, including payers, providers, health systems, hospitals, and healthcare technology companies is preferred 
  • Experience producing and moderating webinars, virtual events, or sessions on stage 
  • Strong research instincts and the ability to translate complex healthcare issues into compelling programming 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines with strong problem-solving and time management skills 
  • Confident, executive-level communication skills when interacting with external stakeholders and internal teams 

Your Experience and Education include:              

  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience in a relevant field 
  • Minimum of 2 years of business experience required. Conference production, healthcare media, editorial, content development, or event programming backgrounds are preferred. 
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the healthcare industry (payers, providers, health systems, digital health, insurance, value-based care) strongly preferred. 
  • Experience leading webinars, moderating panels, or conducting executive interviews is highly desirable.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $65,000 to $75,000 and will be eligible to receive a revenue incentive plan. Salary offers are based on a broad scope of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and, where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
