Job Summary

The Senior Epic Prelude and Grand Central Systems Analyst provides advanced analytical and technical support beyond the scope of a standard Epic Systems Analyst. Performance is consistently superior across all aspects of the role. This position takes initiative in identifying and implementing solutions within and beyond assigned Epic Prelude and Grand Central applications, including facilitating workflow enhancements and enterprise projects that support patient access, scheduling, registration, and ADT workflows across the health system.

The Senior Epic Prelude and Grand Central Systems Analyst identifies opportunities for improvement, recommends enterprise level solutions, fosters collaboration across teams, and serves as a mentor to less experienced analysts within the department.

Essential Responsibilities

  • Facilitate project meetings and deliver presentations to audiences ranging from project teams to senior leadership
  • Lead and participate in multiple projects, including documentation, scope management, scheduling, prioritization, and milestone delivery
  • Manage project risks, follow escalation paths, and ensure timely resolution of issues
  • Research, assess, and collaborate on new Epic Prelude and Grand Central functionality to refine existing practices or develop new solutions
  • Maintain comprehensive project documentation, including meeting minutes and issue tracking
  • Manage end user relationships and expectations through clear documentation and communication processes
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders using both formal and informal written communication
  • Serve as a technical and functional resource for application team members related to Prelude and Grand Central, including system requirements, workflows, data models, build, configuration, maintenance, and data integrity
  • Support patient access, scheduling, registration, check-in, and ADT workflows to ensure efficient and accurate patient flow
  • Anticipate problems and take ownership of complex issues or assignments
  • Participate in training initiatives and work directly with end users, including front desk, scheduling, and patient access teams
  • Identify appropriate stakeholders and teams required for project success
  • Perform planning and task estimation within defined project scope
  • Relate individual tasks and projects to broader organizational goals
  • Develop and execute action plans aligned with project objectives
  • Identify opportunities to improve system adoption, operational efficiency, and end user satisfaction
  • Serve as a liaison for technical requirements and ongoing support
  • Align efforts to consistently meet end user and organizational needs

 

Job Qualifications

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Science, or a related technical field, or an equivalent combination of education, experience, and training.

Required Experience

  • Five to seven years of experience in systems analysis and implementation within a healthcare environment
  • Demonstrated project leadership experience
  • Current Epic Prelude and or Grand Central certification(s)
  • Ability to prioritize work, manage risks, resolve conflicts, and maintain project plans and issue lists
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, analytical, and problem-solving skills
  • Strong interest in developing advanced expertise in Epic Prelude and Grand Central functionality to enhance patient access, operational efficiency, and end user experience across the health system
