The Principal Imaging Specialist – Strategic Accounts is responsible for providing advanced clinical, procedural, and educational support for strategic accounts with a focused emphasis on coronary intervention and intravascular ultrasound (IVUS). This role partners closely with interventional cardiologists, cath lab leadership, and sales leadership to drive best-practice adoption, procedural consistency, and optimized clinical outcomes.The position requires intensive case support within designated strategic accounts for an extensive time period, ensuring sustained adoption, proficiency, and integration of IVUS-guided coronary intervention. The Strategic imaging Specialist position functions as a trusted clinical expert and strategic partner, with flexibility to adapt responsibilities as account needs evolve.
Primary Duties & Responsibilities:
Clinical & Case Support
- Provide in-lab case support for coronary interventions with emphasis on IVUS-guided PCI
- Assist with integration and maintenance of capital equipment
- Support strategic accounts for extended engagement periods to ensure durable adoption
- Serve as a trusted clinical resource during complex coronary cases
- Reinforce IVUS best practices and evidence-based decision-making
- Maintain accurate and thorough records including data management
Strategic Account Engagement
- Partner with sales and regional leadership on account-specific strategies
- Build relationships with physicians, staff, and hospital leadership
- Identify barriers to adoption and develop tailored solutions
- Determine account needs for additional products in the ACIST Medical portfolio
Education & Training
- Deliver structured and informal IVUS education and case reviews both on and off site when applicable
- Provide hands-on training and post-procedure debriefs
- Execute all training and education with the end goal of developing physicians and staff to a point of self-sufficiency
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Communicate voice-of-customer feedback internally
- Coordinate with service and operations teams when applicable
Flexibility of Responsibilities
- Adapt responsibilities based on evolving account and business needs
- Support reassignment or expanded initiatives as required
Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills & Abilities):
Minimum
- 3–5 years of cardiovascular cath lab experience OR relevant work experience
- Hands-on IVUS-guided PCI experience
- Strong interpersonal, oral, communication, organizational and planning skills
- Knowledge of anatomy and physiology of the cardiovascular system
- Willingness to travel extensively
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in healthcare, life sciences, or equivalent experience
- RCIS, RN, or equivalent credential
- Experience with complex coronary cases
- Strong clinical education and presentation skills
Other:
- Ability to travel a minimum of 70-80% of the time or as required by role
- Able to lift and manipulate equipment weighing 50 lbs.
- Must be able to meet and maintain customer/medical facility access requirements, including regular or periodic drug screenings with a satisfactory result in accordance with the requirements of the customer/medical facility serviced
- Valid driver’s license
Compensation & Total Rewards:
Estimated Starting Salary Range: $150,000 - $170,000
