Job Description
Role Description
The Registered Nurse Virtual Care is a member of a collaborative team who is responsible for providing virtual nursing care to a diverse population of patients across OSF through technology in their home environment. The role includes:
- Proactive monitoring, prevention, early intervention, and ongoing care to optimize quality of life for the patient at home.
- Utilizing critical thinking, evidenced-based care, and clinical decision support to guide practice.
- Ongoing communication and collaboration with all care team members, patients, and families.
- Acting as a patient advocate and resource to other health care providers.
- Demonstrating service excellence and accountability through recognizing the relationship between cost-effective care and access to services.
This position is fully remote after training and orientation are completed. Applicants must have an active RN IL license.
Qualifications
- Nursing Degree
- 3 years of recent RN experience
- RN licensure in IL required before hire
- Michigan License required within 6 months of hire
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- Solid computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft software
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with attention to detail
- Working knowledge of Windows-based computer applications, electronic EMR, and digital communication platforms
