Role Description

TISTA Science and Technology is seeking a Senior System Administrator to join our growing team. • Manages the full lifecycle of RHEL servers, focusing on installation, configuration, maintenance, and security in a Web Environment.
• Install, configure, and maintain RHEL servers and virtual platforms (Cloud-AWS, Azure).
• Develop scripts (Bash, Python) or use Ansible to automate routine tasks, such as user management, software updates, and patching.
• Implement and manage security protocols, including SELinux, firewalls, access control lists (ACLs), and user/group permissions.
• Monitor system performance, resource utilization, and logs to ensure high availability, stability, and performance.
• Use Red Hat Satellite to manage repositories, content views, and software updates across the enterprise.
• Configure logical volumes, file systems, and manage backups to prevent data loss.
• Resolve complex server-level issues, conduct root cause analysis, and provide technical assistance.

Qualifications

• Expertise in RHEL 7/8/9 environments.
• Apache and Drupal Support.
• Proficiency in command-line tools and shell scripting (Bash).
• Strong understanding of networking (TCP/IP, firewalls).
• Familiarity with automation tools (Ansible) and container technology (Podman/Docker).
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electronics engineering or related technical discipline and 5+ years’ work experience.
• Eight (8) years of additional relevant experience may be substituted for education (13 years total).

• The ability to pass a Tier 4/HIGH Background Investigation.
• Location: Remote, USA.
• Monday - Friday (8:00 AM - 4:30 PM EST).

Pay Range

The pay for this position ranges from $52,730 to $72,500. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation, such as bonuses.
