Role Description

Provide strategic and persuasive content with an empathetic lens that communicates the value of a pharmacogenomic testing platform designed to improve medication safety and effectiveness. The writer will help translate complex medical and genomic concepts into accessible messaging that resonates with enterprise healthcare stakeholders and employee populations.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience writing in healthcare, medical technology, pharmaceuticals, or genomics.
  • Ability to simplify complex medical concepts for diverse audiences.
  • Experience with healthcare marketing, patient education, or health technology communication.
  • Strong strategic thinking and messaging development skills.
  • Ability to work closely with executives and subject-matter experts.
  • Professional presence suitable for occasional exposure to enterprise clients.
  • Empathy-driven writing style that connects with real patient concerns.
  • Preferred: background or coursework in biology, pharmacology, healthcare, or life sciences.

Requirements

  • Initial engagement: 5-10 hours/week with potential to scale for 6+ months.
  • Looking for a long-term writer to grow with the company.
  • Engagement may evolve into a larger role as enterprise partnerships expand.
  • Hybrid collaboration: primarily remote writing with periodic in-person meetings.

  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders including healthcare experts and program leadership.
  • Support thought leadership opportunities such as media placements or industry publications.
  • Maintain messaging that balances scientific credibility with approachable, human-centered communication.
