Job Description
Role Description
We are seeking a Data Analyst to be the foundational member of Karoo’s analytics team. You will work across clinical, operations, product, and leadership teams to deliver clear, actionable insights that drive both patient outcomes and business performance. This is a hands-on role focused on turning data into impact: developing dashboards, metrics, and analyses that give visibility into performance, uncover opportunities for improvement, and inform strategic decisions. You’ll partner closely with technical teammates who manage infrastructure and data pipelines, ensuring that the data you analyze is reliable, accurate, and ready for interpretation.
What You'll Do
- Build and maintain dashboards, reports, and self-service tools that provide visibility into clinical, operational, and business performance.
- Partner with leadership to define key metrics and KPIs and ensure they are consistently measured and reported.
- Perform deep-dive analyses to uncover insights on patient populations, provider performance, care management programs, and payer reporting.
- Translate complex datasets into clear, compelling insights for both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Collaborate with data engineers and product/tech teams to ensure data sources are accurate, well-structured, and accessible.
- Proactively identify opportunities for data-driven improvements in care delivery, operations, and financial performance.
- Contribute to building a culture of data-driven decision-making across the company.
Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in data analytics, in healthcare, healthtech, or related industries.
- Strong proficiency with SQL and BI platforms (Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Mode, or similar).
- Experience working with healthcare data such as claims, EHR, and operational datasets.
- Deep understanding of value-based care models, including TCoC, utilization, and outcomes measurement.
- Ability to structure ambiguous problems and translate them into clear analyses and recommendations.
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence stakeholders through data storytelling.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, early-stage startup environment, where priorities shift and structure is still evolving.
Nice to Have
- Familiarity with healthcare data standards (HL7, FHIR) and payer & provider reporting requirements.
- Proficiency in Python, R, or other scripting languages for advanced analysis.
- Experience supporting value-based care models and payer & provider partnerships.
- Experience with complex data warehouses, analytics pipelines, and cloud computing.
Benefits
- Competitive salary and equity.
- Fully-remote work environment available.
- Full benefits package.
- A collaborative and transparent company culture that values creativity and ownership.

Digital Strategy Analyst - Market Access (Remote)
United Therapeutics CorporationWe are the first publicly-traded biotech or pharmaceutical company to take the form of a public benefit corporation. Our public benefit purpose is to provide a brighter future for patients through the development of novel pharmaceutical therapies; and technologies that expand the availability of transplantable organs. United Therapeutics (Nasdaq: UTHR) seeks to travel down the corridors of indifference to develop treatments for rare, deadly diseases. We were founded in 1996 by a family seeking a cure for their daughter’s pulmonary arterial hypertension (PAH). Today, we have six FDA-approved therapies that treat PAH, pulmonary hypertension associated with interstitial lung disease (PH-ILD) and neuroblastoma, a rare pediatric cancer. Our near-term pipeline seeks to develop additional therapies for PAH and pulmonary fibrosis (PF). The cure for end-stage life-threatening diseases like PAH, PH-ILD, PF, and many others is an organ transplant, but only a small percentage of donated organs are available to address the vast need. For this reason, we are working to create manufactured organs to address the shortage of kidneys, hearts, lungs, and livers available for transplant. We believe an unlimited supply of tolerable, transplantable organs will eliminate the transplant waiting list and cure end-stage organ diseases for which transplant is not currently an option.
