Role Description

The Stella Maris Clinical Reimbursement Department is looking to add a new member to the team. This is a great opportunity to work as part of a wonderful and experienced MDS team to grow, gain experience, and be part of the mission of Stella Maris.

MDS Coordinator (RN) - REMOTE

Responsibilities

  • The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years of MDS experience including ICD 10 coding for PDPM in a LTC/SAR setting.
  • Emphasis on choosing the highest ranking clinical category possible and capturing NTAs for maximum reimbursement.
  • Hours will vary according to the number of admissions each day.
  • Responsible for identifying payer source, opening all Entry MDS and setting ARDs for Admission and 5-day assessments.
  • Entering and ranking all ICD 10 codes based on the hospital discharge summary and accompanying documents.

Qualifications

  • RN License
  • Minimum 5 years of experience with MDS required
