If so, NIVA Health would love for you to join our team as a Patient Care Coordinator.
In this role, you’ll:
- Verify patient insurance coverage, monitor incoming referrals, and ensure eligibility for wound care services.
- Accurately prepare, submit, and track authorizations for wound care treatments and procedures.
- Communicate promptly with facilities, providers, and case managers about patient authorizations and insurance status.
- Troubleshoot and resolve insurance, documentation, or onboarding challenges to prevent delays in care.
- Maintain precise, well-organized digital records in EHRs and internal spreadsheets.
- Collaborate daily with internal teams and external partners to create seamless patient intake experiences.
- Support continuous improvement in our intake, insurance, and care coordination processes.
- Tackle additional tasks or projects as assigned to help NIVA Health elevate the patient experience.
Qualifications
- Have a high school diploma (Associate’s or Bachelor’s in Healthcare Administration or related field preferred).
- Bring 1–3 years’ experience in healthcare support (intake, insurance verification, or medical administration).
- Communicate clearly, professionally, and empathetically with both clinical and non-clinical stakeholders.
- Are highly organized, able to expertly track details and juggle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Have strong problem-solving skills and a proactive, “can-do” attitude.
- Know your way around EHRs and digital communication tools.
- Thrive working collaboratively and supporting teams toward shared goals.

- Demonstrate a strong grasp of medical terminology or wound care processes.
