• Drive quality for assigned suppliers, including quality plan implementation • Select suppliers through qualification processes • Own supplier results, drive improvements utilizing supplier scorecards • Own supplier audits, ensuring compliance, and driving improvement plans where needed • Lead supplier qualification, approval, and requalification activities, including audits, action plans, and performance monitoring • Develop, deploy, and track supplier improvement plans aligned with industrial standards of excellence • Support suppliers in Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) processes, including root cause analysis and effectiveness verification • Drive continuous improvement initiatives using FMEAs, control plans, and process capability assessments • Build and implement robust solutions for non-conformances, coordinating with suppliers, engineering, and field teams • Apply strong technical understanding of transformer design, manufacturing, and testing to assess supplier capability and resolve quality issues • Review and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and standards related to transformers and associated components • Act as a technical liaison between suppliers, internal engineering teams, field service, and customers • Provide quality and technical support for field issues, customer complaints, and service-related quality events • Impact projects, processes, and procedures within the supplier quality discipline by applying professional judgment and technical expertise • Operate with a level of autonomy while executing activities within established functional practices, procedures, and quality systems • Support cross-functional teams in resolving supplier-related risks affecting delivery, cost, quality, and customer satisfaction • Work closely with customers, project managers and suppliers to manage and drive closure of open quality actions (punch list) from customer sites, field services activities and customer inspections • Act as the focal point to track, follow up, and close supplier and site quality action items impacting project execution and delivery • Communicate effectively with internal stakeholders regarding supplier quality performance, risks, and improvement actions • Explain complex technical and quality-related information in a clear and structured manner to non-specialist audiences • Provide informal guidance and technical mentoring to less experienced team members when needed
