Minneapolis College is currently looking for a part-time, limited TRIO EOC Advisor from the month of April 2026 until the end of August 2026.

Job Description

The TRIO EOC Advisors provides assistance to the TRIO Educational Opportunity Center with organizing, implementing and holding informational sessions as part of outreach efforts to prospective participants for
TRIO-EOC and provides advising services to TRIO-EOC participants.

This position may be eligible for telework per the Minneapolis College’s Telework Guidelines.

Salary Range:

$23.98 - $34.18 per hour / $49,339 - $71,368 annually

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent combination of education and experience in Education, Counseling or Student Personnel Psychology, Counseling Psychology, Organizational Management, Liberal Arts.
  • Experience working with students who are TRIO eligible, or from diverse ethnic backgrounds, or non-traditional aged students.
  • Demonstrated understanding of student development needs.
  • Demonstrated understanding of the mission and philosophy of TRIO programs.
  • Strong public relations, presentation and interpersonal communication and writings kills.
  • Demonstrated self-starter with strong organizational and leadership skills.
  • Proficient and efficient at using computer technology including internet and Microsoft Office.
  • Demonstrates an ongoing understanding of cultural fluency, incorporates culturally responsive practices, and actively engages in anti racism professional development learning opportunities.

Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience working in a higher education setting providing academic advising, or counseling in a TRIO program or similar program.
• Experience creating and developing career and degree plans
• Experience developing workshop materials
• Experience assisting students with career exploration.
• Experience guiding individuals through financial aid process.
• Experience creating academic, career or financial literacy workshops
• Experience in student services or related area.
