Job Description

This position is responsible for overseeing and improving the continuous improvement and quality control system across multiple operational sites in North America and EMEA. Leads and manages a team of onsite quality control specialists who support RMS small animal Operations, assigning goals, providing mentorship, and fostering career development. Focus on identifying opportunities for improvement and optimization of processes across all operational sites, ensuring adherence to industry regulations and quality standards. This role will strive to create a positive and mutually beneficial relationship between Inotiv, its employees and its customers, contributing to achieving the growth of Inotiv RMS business.

 

Key Accountabilities

  • Leads a team of onsite quality control specialists across North America and EMEA to ensure Inotiv is producing products and services according to required specifications
  • Including measuring, monitoring and controlling product and service quality
  • Leads and participates in Continuous Improvement projects, including building an effective continuous improvement function to drive a culture of compliance and improvement, process efficiency, and cost savings and avoidance
  • Analyzes trend data to identify key areas of opportunities that impact product quality
  • Applies rigorous problem-solving methodology to situations where data suggest process is not operating effectively or variability exceeds expectations, including the use of DMAIC tools to drive thorough investigations, root cause analyses, process mapping, and CAPAs
  • Works collaboratively with onsite teams and supporting functions
  • Ensures compliance with regulatory and statutory requirements, including AAALAC, IACUC, USDA, CDC and other in-country legislation
  • Provides guidance, support, mentoring, and training to direct reports across multiple sites
  • Ensures consistency and standardization of quality processes across all sites
  • Conducts regular site visits to monitor and assess quality performance
  • Tracks and trends product and service performance and prepares and presents status reports for key performance indicators to management
  • Ensures timely and effective communication with customers regarding quality issues
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Minimum Requirements

Education & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field +5+ years of leadership experience in Quality Assurance or Quality Management
  • In lieu of a degree, candidates may be considered with an equivalent combination of additional relevant work experience.

Preferred Certifications

  • Six Sigma Black Belt

Travel

  • Up to 40% business travel required, including site visits across North America and EMEA.

*This position could be offered at different levels for candidates who qualify with a combination of advanced levels of education and/or years of experience.  The salary range for this role is $120,200 - $150,000 and can adjust along with the level of the role to match the person’s relevant experience and/or education level.
