Role Description

The Manager of Software Test Engineering has a strong background in software testing, excellent leadership skills, and a passion for improving healthcare through technology. This role involves managing a team of test engineers, developing testing strategies, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software products.

• Lead and manage a team of software test engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and support.
• Develop and implement comprehensive testing strategies and plans to ensure the quality and reliability of healthcare software products.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including development, product management, and operations, to define testing requirements and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Oversee the design, development, and execution of automated and manual test cases.
• Monitor and report on testing progress, identifying and addressing any issues or bottlenecks.
• Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations, particularly those relevant to healthcare software.
• Drive continuous improvement in testing processes, tools, and methodologies.
• Manage testing resources, including budgeting, scheduling, and allocation of tasks.
• Stay up to date with the latest trends and advancements in software testing and healthcare technology.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in software testing, with a minimum of 5 years in a leadership or management role.
• Strong understanding of software development life cycle (SDLC) and testing methodologies.
• Experience with automated testing tools and frameworks.
• Knowledge of healthcare industry standards and regulations (e.g., HIPAA, FDA).
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse teams.
• Detail-oriented with a commitment to delivering high-quality software products.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment.
