Job Description
The work:
We are looking for a talented Senior ServiceNow developer to deliver world-class ServiceNow applications for our federal clients. As a ServiceNow developer, you will be responsible for configuring ServiceNow components and developing customized solutions within the ServiceNow platform. You will also analyze requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, wireframes, work in a cross-functional agile delivery team, support testing, deployment, and documentation activities, as well as troubleshoot/resolve errors.
To ensure success as a ServiceNow developer, you should have extensive experience working with ServiceNow platforms, application development skills, and the ability to solve complex software problems. Ultimately, a top-class ServiceNow developer can create dynamic and scalable ServiceNow applications that meet the changing needs of the company.
Here’s what you need:
- 6+ years experience as a Developer using object-oriented programing languages (e.g. Java, C#, C++)
- 3+ years experience in low-code/no-code platforms such as Appian, Salesforce, ServiceNow, etc.; Direct ServiceNow configuration experience desired
- 5+ years experience in development on RDBMS platforms (e.g., Oracle, SQL, MySQL, MariaDB)
- 5+ years experience data modeling to include creating and modifying standard and custom objects, writing Stored Procedures, optimizing queries and views, and performing ETL
- 5+ years experience in development using web technologies (e.g. JavaScript, HTML, CSS, Bootstrap, etc.)
- 5+ years experience in JSON, XML, SOAP, REST and working knowledge of application programming interfaces (APIs) to support low-code/no-code platforms
- 5+ years experience in working on agile delivery teams (e.g. with POs, testers, architects) as well as performing testing, debugging, root cause analysis, and authoring technical artifacts / documents / deliverables
- 5+ years experience using Git with branching / merging, code reviews, and pull requests
- 3+ years experience deploying ServiceNow applications
Bonus points if you have:
- ServiceNow System Administrator Certification
- ServiceNow Certified Application Developer
- Demonstrated expertise in deploying modules such as GenAI, ITSM, ITOM, HR, SPM, IRM, and CMDB
- ServiceNow Technical Architect certification
- Proven experience integrating AI technologies into ServiceNow
- Experience with federal standards and requirements
- Additional Industry certifications such as PMP, Cloud, etc.

As required by local law, Accenture Federal Services provides reasonable ranges of compensation for hired roles based on labor costs in the states of California, Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Massachusetts, Minnesota, New Jersey, New York, Washington, Vermont, the District of Columbia, and the city of Cleveland. The base pay range for this position in these locations is shown below. Compensation for roles at Accenture Federal Services varies depending on a wide array of factors, including but not limited to office location, role, skill set, and level of experience.
