| Job Summary: |
Under general supervision, this position performs advanced-level accounting and financial operations work supporting agency Accounts Receivable, deposit processing, billing and collections, fixed assets, payroll backup, procurement processing, and financial reconciliations.
This position is responsible for high-volume receivables processing in AZ360, reconciling cash, credit card, check, and wire transactions, maintaining records, managing billing and collections, tracking fixed assets, and providing backup support for payroll and requisition processing in the Arizona Procurement Portal (APP).
The position ensures compliance with State of Arizona accounting policies, internal controls, and audit requirements while supporting the operations of the Business Services, Elections, Archives, and Records Management Division.

| Knowledge, Skills & Abilities (KSAs): |
- Knowledge of State of Arizona accounting principles and financial policies.
- Knowledge of AZ360 Accounts Receivable module (required) and AZ360 financial transaction processing.
- Knowledge of governmental billing and collections procedures.
- Knowledge of cash handling and reconciliation practices.
- Knowledge of fixed asset accounting and reporting requirements within AZ360.
- Knowledge of AZ360 HRM payroll processing procedures and procurement systems (APP).
- Knowledge of Microsoft Excel functions used in financial reconciliation, data analysis, and reporting (e.g., formulas, pivot tables, lookups, sorting, filtering).
- Strong reconciliation and analytical skills.
- Skill in managing high-volume financial transactions with accuracy and attention to detail.
- Skill in using Microsoft Excel to organize, analyze, reconcile, and report financial data.
- Skill in applying AZ360 financial modules to process and record transactions.
- Government billing and collections.
- Cash and credit card reconciliation.
- Ability to interpret and apply state financial policies and procedures.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial and payroll data.
- Ability to manage multiple competing priorities and meet strict deadlines.
- Ability to maintain audit-ready documentation and provide cross-functional operational support.

Experience working in AZ360 Accounts Receivable (Required)
Experience with Fixed Assets processing preferred
Experience serving as payroll backup preferred

High school diploma or GED required, Associates or Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field preferred
