This role is responsible for the operation, reliability, and delivery of campus data platforms and analytics services, primarily focusing on improving, monitoring, and maintaining data warehouse delivery services. Activities also include developing database views, executing manual processes, and delivering ad hoc data requests from campus data stores using standard methodologies and current technologies.

The Cloud Data Engineer will establish and sustain the university’s modern data infrastructure primarily within Microsoft Fabric, focusing on designing and maintaining data lakehouses, pipelines, and warehouses to unify data from various institutional systems. This role involves developing standardized ingestion and transformation frameworks, implementing medallion architecture, and ensuring secure, efficient data flow to support analytics and decision-making.

The role involves building and maintaining scalable data models and pipelines to expose high-quality data for analysis and reporting, while collaborating with stakeholders to translate commercial requirements into technical solutions. Key duties include identifying and quantifying business opportunities through strategic analysis, A/B testing, and ensuring high data quality through governance and documentation.
