Job Description

• Manage all accounting entries including management of accounts payable. • Manage month-end and year-end closing processes. • Prepare monthly financial reports with detailed variance analysis to provide key insights to Senior management. • Prepare annual audited financial statements, ensuring compliance with IFRS. • Collaborate with external auditors during financial audits. • Develop and implement robust internal controls to ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records. • Stay updated on accounting standards, regulations, and industry best practices. • Ad hoc reporting duties as requested.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 4-6 years’ experience in corporate accounting preferably within the investment fund industry.
  • Experience with monthly financial reporting and analysis.
  • Undergraduate degree with a focus on Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting or commerce; CPA or equivalent certification.
  • Strong knowledge of IFRS accounting principles and practices.
  • Exceptional Microsoft Excel skills are essential along with excellent working knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products.
  • Experience dealing with audits is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Exceptional ability to be highly collaborative and flexible in a very dynamic environment.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills that are above average.
  • Proficiency in accounting software (Netsuite or Quickbooks is preferred).
