KEY RELATIONSHIPS

  • Reports to Vice President, Category and Industry Leadership
  • Manages day-to-day vendor, BC, IT and Grocery team relationship relating to data and infrastructure
  • Collaborates with Grocery Category Management, Sales, Business Planning, Supply Chain, Finance, Shopper Insights, Shopper Mktg
  • Assigned to lead responsibility for one area within unit/department or as a team lead for projects/programs
  • Provides guidance and training to less experienced co-workers or others on assigned project

 

This position is remote. Travel up to 25% of travel may be required

 

WHAT YOU’LL BE DOING 

This position will provide support to Category Management and the customer team acting as gatekeeper for effective insight solutions interfacing across multiple customer departments: 

  • Thought Leadership: Identifying and integrating leading edge Category Tools & Processes will be critical to driving thought leadership and effective customer partnerships
  • Automation and Simplification: Partnering with cross-functional customer team to identify areas to accelerate the automation of key reports to enable efficiency and increase sales team members’ capability to perform value-added work
  • Process Development: Consultant with the various functional groups developing standard procedures for effective data usage:
    • Training Kellogg personnel on the procedures, reporting tools and systems
    • Integrating a broad range of ideas regarding team needs and system requirements
  • World Class Performance: Sharing best practices with all members of the Grocery team with the goal of achieving a world-class, high performing organization
    • Primary system applications include virtual testing, new item tracking, user-customized dashboards, & daily performance scorecards.
  • Business Intelligence: Look for trends in the marketplace and develop intel and selling stories to enable the sales and category management teams.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited 4-year university OR High School Diploma and 2-3 years industry experience   
  • Proven efficiency working in Power BI, Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint; Knowledge and use of: Nielsen/Circana, Loyalty card databases, JDA/Apollo, Category Management tools and/or other business performance indicators.
  • Previous experience in Category Management
  • Very experienced using database software and programming
  • Proficient in POS, Shopper Card & Syndicated data
  • Excellent presentation, time management, organizational and interpersonal skills.

 

Preferred Experience:

  • Understanding of Python and script writing

Salary Range:  $105,040 – $131,300

Salary pay ranges are determined by role and level. Within the range, the successful candidate’s starting base pay will be determined based on factors including job-related skills, experience, certifications, qualifications, relevant education or training, and local market conditions.
