Job Description
Role Description
As an HEOR Scientist at ICON plc, you will be responsible for:

Strategy:
- Driving sustained integration of HEOR from early clinical development through commercialization.
- Developing and overseeing HO research strategy for compounds in the client portfolio.
- Serving as a strategic partner on lead/core teams throughout development and/or commercialization.
- Formulating and driving Patient Focused Outcome, Real World Evidence, and/or economic value strategies.

Study Development and Execution:
- Developing high impact science for products across the lifecycle to support evidence needs.
- Applying technical expertise in statistical analysis, economic modeling, clinical trials, and health technology assessment.
- Using disease state knowledge to solve HO issues related to registration, pricing, reimbursement, and access initiatives.

Organizational Leadership and Influence:
- Linking technical expertise with business acumen to establish strategic relationships.
- Leading HO evidence planning and implementation with cross-functional teams.
- Integrating with and influencing key business partners and external stakeholders.

Information Dissemination:
- Communicating HO information to internal business partners, the scientific community, and customers.
- Driving research dissemination strategies and leading communication efforts.
- Planning and aligning application of results to increase the impact of HO work.

Environmental Awareness:
- Maintaining awareness of significant developments in disease states and HO methodologies.
- Anticipating and evaluating future market needs for HO information.
- Monitoring internal and external factors that impact HO research.

Project Management:
- Ensuring HO projects meet timelines, budget, and scope by coordinating research efforts.
Qualifications
- Doctorate (PhD, MD) OR PharmD/MS degree with 10-12+ years of experience in creating, executing, and delivering outcomes strategies/projects.
- Strong comprehension and communication skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate within and across teams.
