About the Role
The Financial Manager is responsible for providing general ledger, cash management, financial reporting, cash flow forecasting, customized reports, and financial management consultation services for a portfolio of elite onsite and high-rise community association clients. This position will interface with the General Managers, Director of Association Management, Regional Vice Presidents of Onsite Management, community association Board of Directors and third-party service providers on financial matters. This is a "hands-on" position from an accounting perspective. The Financial Manager will report directly to the Financial Director.
This is a remote position; however we are seeking candidates that live in the Central to Western, United States.
Responsibilities
Client contractual service deliverables including review and approval of invoice workflows, production of monthly financial reports and review of annual budgets
Managing the monthly pre-close and close processes for a portfolio of communities
Managing the preparation process for annual budgets
Relationship with client board of directors
Managing the daily flow of financial service inquiries and requests
Client billing for services performed outside the service level agreement
Client satisfaction and retention
Troubleshooting and resolving escalated accounting issues
Liaison with Shared Services departments providing accounts payable, accounts receivable, property conveyances, community banking, collections, audit & tax, insurance, corporate accounting, Information Technology and transition services in the delivery of overall financial management services
Process improvement recommendations and implementation
Becoming a “subject matter expert” on the technology platform with respect to the delivery of accounting and financial management services
Projects as required to increase our ability to service our clients
Other duties as assigned by your supervisor

QualificationsRequired
Accounting degree from a 4-year accredited college / university
Willing to learn new software and various state legislation that applies to common interest realty associations
Teamwork Perspective
The desire to have fun in the workplace while meeting and exceeding expectations
Desired
Real estate, property management and/or outsourced accounting / bookkeeping industry experience strongly preferred
Hands on experience with a mid to upper tier accounting software package
Exceptional computer skills (power user)
Graduate degree a plus
Excellent grasp of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles
Strong organizational and prioritization skills
Strong interpersonal/communication (written and verbal) skills
Ability to work efficiently in a dynamic, challenging, high change/growth environment
Advanced Excel Skills – more than just pivot tables and vlookup
Pay
$85,000 to $95,000 per year salary, depending on education and experience
