Responsibilities:

  • Ability to work remotely in assigned location / region;
  • Ability to travel via personal vehicle or AWARE vehicle to designated cities / regions to meet with clients and provide services;
  • Experience in assessment and observational skills;
  • Experience planning and implementing TR interventions to assist clients in increasing independence in lifestyle;
  • Experience researching and applying evidence-based practices in Therapeutic Recreation;
  • Design TR protocols, session plans and processes;
  • Implements interventions that are sensitive to the client age, cultural background, stage of development, limitations of disabling conditions, skill and experience level;
  • Document and evaluate services for efficiency and quality

Requirements


Talents, skills, and abilities:

  • A bachelor's degree in Therapeutic Recreation which meets the standards of NCTRC.
  • Completion of a NCTRC approved internship.
  • CTRS certification at hire strongly preferred or the ability to obtain national certification of CTRS within one year of hire.
