Job Description
Role Description
As a Steampunk Integration Developer, you will design, develop, evaluate, and modify system interfaces and integrations. You will participate in the testing process through test execution, test script development, test review, and analysis. You should have experience using middleware to integrate a variety of cloud and on-premise systems, including SaaS systems, SQL databases, document storage solutions, and APIs. You will follow coding standards and participate in code reviews during projects to ensure appropriate design patterns are followed.
- Design, develop, test, document, and deploy high-quality integrations built on ESBs and ETL tools based on industry best practices and business needs
- Manage the process of implementing improvements and new integrations
- Deliver support and solutions for break/fix issues
- Communicate and collaborate with other technical resources and stakeholders regarding status, technical issues, and creative solutions
- Handle numerous priorities using proven project management methodologies and sound development practices to ensure the quality delivery of enterprise solutions
- Interface with business analysts and technical staff and be responsible for delivering complete work products
- Research integration issues and work closely with team members on operations and development staff
- Research and keep current on integration patterns and integration middleware technologies
- Perform maintenance and troubleshooting of applications
- Build client trust and respect, establish client relationships, and develop rapport with clients
- Participate and engage in all team meetings
- Document best practices and operational procedures
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree and 3+ years of experience with integration development
- Proven knowledge building ETL & ESB integrations and APIs using integration middleware
- Proven knowledge integrating SaaS systems, SQL databases, flat files, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs
- Eligible to obtain and maintain a government security clearance
- Possess at least one integration-related certification
- Proficiency in Java, XML, JSON, and related technologies
- Familiarity with major enterprise integration frameworks and knowledge of when to use them
Requirements
- Experience building ETL and platform event integrations with Salesforce
- MuleSoft Certified Developer I or Salesforce Certified Integration Architect
- Able to align your approach with a solution vision and collaborate with a cross-functional team
- Excellent interpersonal skills, as well as excellent communication skills, verbal and written to both technical and non-technical audiences that are in a geographically dispersed environment (conference calls, Skype, face-to-face)
- Takes initiative to recommend process improvements and demonstrates creative thinking
- Demonstrates self-motivation and the ability to grasp concepts quickly
- Demonstrates sharp, analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Knowledge and experience with Agile methodologies
- Knowledge of cloud-based integration, microservices architecture, and containerization
- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
- Familiarity with AWS, Azure, and GCP
