Role Description
How you’ll contribute:
- Work with teammates in product, marketing, engineering, and analytics to craft impactful activation and early-lifecycle experiences through new features and enhancements.
- Define and shape features that help users reach clear “aha” moments, starting from early ideas and sketches, progressing to interactive prototypes, high-fidelity designs, and final implementation.
- Leverage customer insights to guide users toward feature discovery, habit formation, and early value, increasing activation and adoption across individuals and teams.
- Conduct qualitative and quantitative research to understand new and existing users, as well as competitor analysis, to inform high-impact experiments and iterations.
- Elevate the design culture at Superhuman by pursuing remarkable quality in your design craft and producing consistent, high-quality work that drives measurable business impact.
How you’ll collaborate:
- Partner with product managers to set the vision for activation initiatives and build a roadmap of projects that improve activation, retention, and expansion metrics.
- Engage with Product, Marketing, and Brand stakeholders to align on onboarding, upgrade, and team growth journeys, communicating design updates to leadership for feedback and approval.
- Advise product and engineering teammates through a deep understanding of interaction patterns that balance power and approachability, helping reduce design-related blockers and delivery delays.
- Work closely with engineering, product, and marketing to run experiments, improve processes, and deliver high-quality, on-brand features that drive adoption, satisfaction, and upgrades.
Qualifications
- Experience: 5+ years relevant working experience in product design roles with 3+ years focused on growth, onboarding, or activation experiences.
- Expertise: Demonstrated mastery of product design, encompassing prototyping, visual and interaction design, typography, layout, and visual hierarchy.
- Curiosity: Love exploring new ideas and solutions across technology and user-centric design.
- Drives Towards Clarity: Thrives in ambiguity and is excited by the opportunity to validate hypotheses.
- Delight & Empathy: Understand how customers think and care deeply about their journey.
- Excellent Communication: Comfortable and confident sharing thoughts in verbal or written form.
- Collaborator: Experience facilitating discussions with engineers and product managers to drive strategy and execution.
- Bias to Action: Takes rapid and decisive steps forward, even in the face of uncertainty.
