Role Description
Mutual of Omaha has a role that leads Strategic Business Unit (SBU)‑specific consumer and producer research to inform segment strategy, growth priorities, and critical business decisions. You will partner closely with Strategic Business Unit (SBU) leadership and cross‑functional teams, translating qualitative and quantitative insights into clear, actionable guidance that drives growth, innovation, and performance.
Qualifications
- 6+ years marketing, market research, project management or data analytics experience (including DYI Quant Methodologies).
- Proven experience with a variety of market research methodologies.
- Excellent ability to translate business needs to market research opportunities.
- Ability to synthesize and extract actionable insights relevant to business objectives.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, problem-solving skills and analytical ability.
- Strong business acumen with the ability to own insights end to end, from decision-focused project framing to delivery of decision-ready insights that drive activation.
- Proven project management and organization skills and the ability to lead others under tight deadlines with attention to detail.
- Advanced problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Consultative and collaborative approach with strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Effective organizational skills demonstrating the ability to manage multiple projects and lead others under tight deadlines with attention to detail.

Requirements
- Partner with SBU leadership and cross-functional teams to scope research, clarify objectives, and ensure insights address key business needs aligned to SBU priorities.
- Design, execute, and manage consumer and producer qualitative and quantitative research aligned to key business questions.
- Bring a business stakeholder mindset end to end, framing projects around key decisions upfront and delivering decision-ready insights that influence action and drive business outcomes.
- Synthesize primary and secondary research into clear, actionable insights that inform segment strategy, growth initiatives, and decision-making.
- Communicate findings through compelling narratives and presentations tailored to senior leaders and business partners.
- Ensure insights are embedded in ongoing planning, prioritization, and execution processes across the segment.
- Evaluate and pilot new technologies and solutions in the field of market research to proactively and continually further the effectiveness of this function.
