Role Description
Elite Virtual Assist (EVA) is seeking an experienced Corporate/Startup Paralegal with additional expertise in securities filings and venture-related matters. This is a remote, full-time opportunity with the potential for permanent hire after a 90-day probationary period.
During the initial 90 days, the position will be compensated at $30 per hour. Upon successful completion of the probationary period and conversion to a permanent role, salary will be subject to negotiation based on experience and performance.
This position is ideal for a highly skilled, detail-oriented paralegal who can step in on day one with minimal guidance and support fast-paced corporate legal work.
This paralegal will support transactional legal matters involving:
- Startup corporate work
- Securities filings
- Venture financing
- Real estate transactions
The ideal candidate has law firm experience, is comfortable handling filings independently, and can manage changing priorities efficiently. This is not an entry-level role; we are seeking a paralegal who can operate autonomously, provide ad-hoc support, and deliver high-quality work without training.
Qualifications
- 3+ years of corporate/startup or securities paralegal experience (law firm background strongly preferred)
- Hands-on experience with startup corporate matters
- Venture financing (Seed, Series A/B)
- Securities filings
- Real estate transactional support
- Direct experience with Carta onboarding and cap table management and Pulley
Requirements
- Ability to prepare and file corporate and securities documents independently with zero training
- Strong proficiency with legal research, document drafting, and compliance management
- Highly organized, proactive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced, remote environment
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work directly with attorneys
