Role Description
Emerging Tech is seeking an experienced Program Manager to support the Federal Electronic Health Records Modernization (FEHRM) office in advancing the deployment of integrated Electronic Health Record (EHR) capabilities across the Department of War (DoW) and Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) enterprise environments. This role will provide leadership and strategic support for initiatives focused on modernizing federal healthcare technology infrastructure.
- Provide leadership and program support to the FEHRM office in advancing federal Electronic Health Record modernization initiatives.
- Manage cross-functional teams and collaborate with stakeholders to support the development of analyses and strategic plans related to EHR deployment across DoW and VA environments.
- Conduct discovery efforts to understand the current “as-is” operational and technical state across systems and facilities.
- Perform comprehensive analyses to evaluate potential impacts, dependencies, and risks associated with future “to-be” system implementations.
- Design and socialize strategic approaches for system deployment and modernization initiatives.
- Support the development and maintenance of program schedules, timelines, and implementation plans.
- Track and monitor cost, schedule, and performance metrics to ensure program alignment with federal objectives.
- Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to ensure program success.
- Develop and deliver executive briefings regarding program status, challenges, and opportunities.
- Collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team environment to support program execution and stakeholder engagement.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related technical discipline. An additional 8 years of relevant experience may be substituted for a degree.
- 10 or more years of professional work experience.
- Experience managing Information Technology related projects or programs.
- Strong knowledge of project management and system lifecycle methodologies.
- Experience tracking cost, schedule, and performance metrics across complex programs.
- Demonstrated ability to identify program risks and implement mitigation strategies.
- Strong analytical, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting the Department of Veterans Affairs or Department of War programs.
- Experience supporting or implementing Electronic Health Record systems.
- Experience working within large federal healthcare modernization initiatives.
