Role Description
Our client is seeking to add an experienced Personal Lines Auto Bodily Injury Unit Manager to join their expanding Arizona team. This leadership role will oversee a team of claims examiners handling moderate to complex auto bodily injury claims from cradle to grave, ensuring claims are investigated, evaluated, and resolved accurately and efficiently. The ideal candidate will bring strong bodily injury claims experience, prior leadership or team lead experience, and a solid understanding of claims handling in AZ. This person will have the flexibility for a remote and/or hybrid schedule.
- Supervise and mentor a team of Bodily Injury Claims Examiners handling moderate to complex auto bodily injury claims.
- Oversee claims from initial investigation through resolution, ensuring proper evaluation, documentation, and timely settlement.
- Provide technical guidance on complex bodily injury claims and liability determinations.
- Assist adjusters with settlement negotiations and claims strategy to ensure fair and compliant outcomes.
- Monitor claim activity and workloads to ensure files are handled efficiently and in accordance with company standards.
Qualifications
- 5 - 10+ years of experience handling Casualty / Bodily Injury claims, including strong knowledge of claims handling within AZ and surrounding states.
- 2+ years of leadership experience in a Claims Management, Team Lead, or Supervisory capacity, strongly preferred.
- Non-standard auto claims experience is a plus.
- Strong understanding of liability investigations, injury evaluation, and settlement negotiations.
- Proven ability to mentor, guide, and support adjusters handling moderate to complex bodily injury claims.
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
- Proficiency with claims management systems and Microsoft Office.
- Bachelor’s degree preferred.
