- Build high-volume, real-time pipelines with robust validation, error handling, and observability.
- Ensure platform designs align with regulatory and security standards, contributing evidence for accreditation readiness.
- Evolve and maintain the API Developer Hub and self-service partner onboarding workflows.
- Onboard third-party models and simulations, including AI/ML/LLM features, with clear methodology and tooling.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with internal teams, external partners, and stakeholders, mentoring engineers on integration patterns and operational excellence.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of software development experience with a focus on enterprise integration and API platforms; 2+ years owning architectural scope.
- Expertise in REST, GraphQL, webhooks, and event-driven systems (Kafka/CloudEvents/queues).
- Experience with AWS services including API Gateway, Lambda, EKS, and associated PaaS/IaaS.
- Proficiency with Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, CloudFormation, CDK) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Containerization experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and Helm.
- Skilled in Java/Kotlin, Python, REST/GraphQL, and working with PostgreSQL and MongoDB.
- Strong understanding of API security, secrets management, and rate-limiting.
- Proven track record integrating AI/ML/LLM features into production APIs.
- Excellent communication, problem-solving, and collaborative skills; able to mentor and guide engineering teams.
- Bonus: experience with FedRAMP, NIST 800-53, DoD IL compliance, or prior aerospace/space operations exposure.
Benefits
- Competitive salary range of $154,000 – $213,000, based on experience and location.
