Role Description

Artemis is seeking a part-time Writer, Editor with demonstrated experience developing video scripts for public service announcements (PSAs) that will be used across a variety of channels (e.g., Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, TV, Connected TV). The Writer, Editor role requires a self-starter, proactive problem solver and action-oriented team player with previous experience in digital communications, social media platforms, and scriptwriting. This position needs an individual that is committed to providing superior service, poised under pressure and has a positive and flexible attitude.

This is a contingent hire position. This position is remote. However, travel for occasional in-person meetings may be required.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Develop scripts for PSAs that will be used across Instagram, Facebook Reels, gas pump TV ads, and other digital placements.
  • Work closely with clients and internal video production team to ensure video scripts achieve campaign goals and objectives.
  • Develop copy for other digital, out-of-home, and social media placements, as requested.
  • Assist with tracking performance metrics and reviewing monthly reports, as needed.

Qualifications

  • 5 years of experience.
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field.
  • Strategic thinker with a forward-looking approach to marketing trends and technologies.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to think critically.
  • Ability to manage competing deadlines.
  • Experience supporting complex projects and transformation efforts within the federal government.
  • Comfortability with supporting complex client relationships.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a public trust clearance.
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S.

To prevent human-caused wildfires, Nevada has a need to deliver engaging fire prevention messages to the general public throughout the state of Nevada. In addition to fire prevention outreach, Nevada seeks to increase awareness and recruitment for seasonal fire prevention and firefighting positions to ensure adequate staffing for wildfire response and mitigation efforts. Messaging should highlight opportunities to join in wildland firefighting efforts and support public land stewardship.
