Role Description

Nira is hiring Transmission Planning Engineers to join the product team comprised of half planning engineers and half software engineers. In this role, you’ll work with other planning engineers and software engineers to build products that help renewable developers put together successful project portfolios. Specifically, you’ll:

• Focus on deepening and expanding your transmission planning and generator interconnection studies subject matter expertise.
• Work with software engineers and product managers to codify your domain knowledge into Nira’s software products’ backend.
• Support the full product life cycle including product ideation, research and development, coding, sales support, customer support, and product maintenance.

Qualifications

• You have experience with generation interconnection related studies.
• You have 2+ years of hands-on experience with tools like TARA, PSS/E, Power World, Python, etc.
• You have a sense of what data renewable developers need to build a portfolio of successful projects.
• You’re motivated by having ownership in your work.
• You take initiative on projects and have a strong preference to be a trailblazer.
• You’re ready to roll up your sleeves for the team, and no task is beneath you.
• You want to level up your software engineering skills.
• You’re low ego and seek to find the best solutions for customers.

Compensation

• Base salary: $170,000 - $210,000.
• Equity options available.
