Job Description
Role Description
This role's main responsibility will be to manage the product roadmap for identified areas by defining and delivering the next generation of insurance services. Responsibilities for this role encompass:
- Developing innovative product solutions.
- Executing strategic go-to-market plans.
- Cultivating essential business relationships to seize market opportunities.
- Managing the product roadmap.
- Providing mentorship to junior product managers.
- Nurturing vendor relationships.
- Fostering cross-domain collaboration.
- Ensuring product direction aligns with organizational objectives.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, engineering, or equivalent practical experience in product management.
- Property and Casualty Insurance experience preferred.
- 5+ years product management and/or product design.
- 5+ years managing complex initiatives from initiation to completion using product management processes and best practices.
- Experience in defining and implementing product metrics to track performance and success.
- Experience handling all stages of product delivery.
- Experience contributing to tech discussions and product strategy.
- Experience managing technical products or online services.
- Experience representing various customers and stakeholders during planning.
- 5 or more years of experience in building core components and functionality in support of large scalable platforms (preferred).
- Highly technical background including knowledge around PaaS, APIs, UI, etc. (preferred).
- Prior experience working directly with customers and agents (preferred).
Requirements
- Ability to build ground-up solutions where none exist including all steps of ideation, problem discovery, customer usage, design, implementation, and monitoring.
- Strong critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations, assess information, and make sound decisions based on data and evidence.
- Ability to work as a partner and peer to counterparts in engineering, program management, and quality assurance.
- Ability to navigate through ambiguity and drive strategic direction.
- Strong skills in managing relationships with stakeholders, ensuring alignment between business goals and product development.
- Comfort operating at different vertical levels at the organization including individual contributors to senior executives.
- Able to develop and present complex problems in a straightforward way.
- Exceptional verbal, oral, and written communication skills.
