Role Description

This role offers an exciting opportunity to design and build large-scale storage and database infrastructure that powers critical online services. As a senior engineer, you will contribute to the development and operation of high-performance distributed systems that manage massive volumes of data in real time. Working in a collaborative, remote-first environment, you will partner with infrastructure and product teams to ensure data platforms remain reliable, scalable, and efficient. • Design, develop, test, and operate large-scale distributed storage systems that power critical online services.
• Build and maintain infrastructure supporting transactional databases, data export pipelines, and storage platforms.
• Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to deliver complex infrastructure projects from design to production.
• Develop frameworks and tooling to support monitoring, permissions management, service discovery, and database ecosystem integrations.
• Improve the way engineers define, structure, and manage data through generalized data schematization solutions across multiple storage backends.
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and performance by maintaining and optimizing production systems.
• Troubleshoot and debug complex infrastructure issues within large-scale distributed environments.
• Contribute to architectural decisions and technical direction for data infrastructure and storage platforms.
• Promote best practices in software engineering, including writing clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience building and operating large-scale backend distributed systems.
• Strong background in infrastructure technologies such as storage systems, data ingestion pipelines, backup and restore systems, or data streaming platforms.
• Solid experience working with complex codebases and taking ownership of systems end-to-end.
• Proven ability to maintain, analyze, and debug production systems at scale.
• Strong software engineering skills with an emphasis on writing clean, readable, testable, and maintainable code.
• Experience designing highly reliable and scalable infrastructure systems.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in a distributed or remote-first engineering environment.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work with cross-team stakeholders and leadership.
• Demonstrated ownership mindset with the ability to consistently deliver impactful projects.
