Role Description

Summer internship. 40 hours per week. Hourly wage: $18/hr.

The Finance Transformation & Reporting intern will gain invaluable hands-on experience at Tivity Health working directly with executive leadership, senior leaders, and process owners across both our Finance and IT departments. We are looking for students with strong analytical and financial mindsets, digitally engaged, and who are extremely data curious! Our Finance Transformation vision is to drive cohesive digitalization across Finance, deliver working capital improvement, and eliminate inefficiencies leveraging automated solutions. Under direct supervision, this intern will aid in supporting Finance’s digital process readiness activities and assist with key process, reporting, and KPI automation efforts.

  • Digital Process Readiness
    • Support tasks to understand data requirements, transformation objectives, process transition risks, and help visualize current state flow.
    • Drive manual and recurring Finance task execution towards streamlined and automated solutions.
    • Assist with preparation tasks for identified processes tagged for upcoming Revenue Cycle Management cloud transformation activities, and/or robotic process automation (RPA) focused efforts.
  • Key Process, Reporting & KPI Automation
    • Data preparation and assembly activities aimed at transitioning away from full reliance on manually intensive Microsoft Access & Excel solutions.
    • Help convert to automated reporting & KPI solutions leveraging digital data-focused tools (e.g., Collibra, Snowflake, Tableau, RPA vendor implementation, etc.).
    • Assist with ad-hoc data analysis, projects, and tasks as requested by the Finance leadership team.

Qualifications

  • Currently pursuing BS, BA, or AA degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, IT, Data Science, Mathematics or related field -OR- 2 years of combined education and work experience.
  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, prioritization, project management, and planning skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including strong verbal and written communication.
  • Solid work ethic and demonstrated ability to meet deadlines.
  • Strong technical aptitude and advanced experience with Microsoft Excel & Access.
  • Ability to develop and maintain collaborative relationships with peers and colleagues across the organization, including internal and external clients.
  • Desire to learn new software tools, is a proven self-starter, and has critical attention to detail.
  • Ability to work well autonomously and within a team in a fast-paced and deadline-oriented environment.
