Role Description
As a Senior Full-Stack Software Engineer at Connective, you’ll:
- Be a technical partner to clients and internal teams, helping them understand technical tradeoffs, constraints, and recommendations in a clear, client-friendly way.
- Participate in client discovery, scoping, and architecture phases.
- Mentor and guide junior and mid-level engineers, provide code reviews, and help establish best practices.
- Collaborate with product management, UX/design teams, and QA to ensure high-quality delivery.
- Contribute to architectural decisions around scaling, performance, security, and maintainability.
- Support deployment, monitoring, incident response, and ongoing maintenance of production systems.
- Help the firm evolve engineering standards, tooling, processes, and delivery practices.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of full-stack development under your belt.
- Comfortable with modern back-end frameworks like Node, Django, .NET Core, or Rails.
- Your front-end game is strong, especially with frameworks like React, Angular, Vue, or similar.
- You've designed robust REST or GraphQL APIs and built well-structured schemas across both SQL and NoSQL databases.
- Integrating with third-party APIs and services? No problem for you.
- A track record of taking features from start to finish, even when things are a bit fuzzy or lightly specified.
- You communicate clearly with both technical teams and non-technical clients.
- You thrive in a remote environment, are self-driven, responsive, and proactive in working across distributed teams.
- You have experience with unit, integration, and end-to-end testing, as well as CI/CD pipelines and version control workflows.
- Ability to mentor others and help shape team standards.
Benefits
- Competitive compensation and benefits.
- We’re a remote-first team, so you can work from wherever you’re most productive. Candidates based in Wisconsin are preferred, as we enjoy getting together in person from time to time.
- Tackle a wide range of projects across diverse industries, each with unique technical and business challenges.
- Make a direct impact; your work drives outcomes and shapes the success of the company.
- Join a super collaborative, tight-knit team where everyone's voice matters.
- Accelerate your growth through hands-on client work, strong mentorship, and continuous skill development.
