Job Description:

The Counsel (Integrations) will serve as a key member of OneOncology’s Healthcare and Operations legal team, with primary responsibility for supporting the company’s integrations and related operations activities in platform affiliation and growth transactions and initiatives. This role will partner with cross-functional teams to review, draft and negotiate integrations-related commercial, healthcare and other agreements to help ensure efficient integrations and onboarding processes. Counsel (Integrations) will support the OneOncology Legal Team in protecting the business’ legal interests, maintaining operations within the scope established by law, and will provide hands-on counsel to OneOncology management and practice staff.

RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES:

  • Assist the OneOncology Legal Team by reviewing, drafting, negotiating, and closing integrations-related commercial contracts, including assignments of and/or new vendor agreements, employment agreements, research agreements, master service agreements, licensing agreements, payor agreements, and other documents, arising in OneOncology platform affiliation transactions and growth initiatives, as assigned by the OneOncology Legal Team.

  • Partner with the OneOncology Integrations team and M&A Legal team members to accurately assess assignment or new contracting needs in the integrations process.

  • Support the OneOncology Legal Team in providing rapid, practical, business-oriented legal and commercial contract guidance directly to businesspersons in the context of affiliation transactions and growth initiatives.

  • Interpret and explain contract terms and conditions to corporate stakeholders.

  • Apply innovative problem-solving skills and practical business judgment to maximize optimization, minimize risk, and foster long-term clinical and business partner relationships.

  • Identify complex issues requiring escalation to senior members of the OneOncology legal team.

  • Assist more senior counsel and management in higher level matters, as needed. Report to the OneOncology Deputy General Counsel, Healthcare and Operations.

  • Collaborate with and facilitate cross-team decision-making among internal OneOncology teams.

  • Work with outside counsel on matters requiring discrete expertise when requested.

  • Manage assigned projects to completion.

  • All other duties as assigned.

  • High degree of cultural and emotional intelligence, and demonstrated aptitude for resilience, flexibility, and ability to adapt to changing circumstances and dynamics.

  • Recognizes the importance of collaboration and the value of a team mindset.

  • Healthcare industry experience preferred.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.

  • Member of a state or DC bar.

  • 3-7 years of relevant legal experience in a law firm or corporate legal department.

WORK ENVIRONMENT:

  • OneOncology’s legal team is primarily based out of two office locations, in Nashville, TN and northern New Jersey areas.

  • Remote work schedule available.

  • Occasional travel may be required for on-site integrations assistance and team building. 

Job Requirements
