Role Description
We are looking for a Quality Assurance Engineer (Backend) to join a team building a high-scale betting platform. You will help ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of distributed systems powering real-time betting experiences.
In this role, you will play a key part in defining and implementing the test automation strategy, while working in a fast-paced environment where quality, speed, and continuous delivery are essential.
Expected travelling time (UK and USA): 0%-15%, varies according to project/client. You will be working with teams across different time zones and locations.
Qualifications
- Proven experience as a Quality Assurance Engineer / Quality Engineer in complex software development projects.
- Experience with both manual and automated testing.
- Ability to write and maintain test automation scripts.
- Working knowledge of a programming language such as Java.
- Experience testing microservices or service-oriented architectures.
- Strong experience with API testing (REST).
- Understanding of data flow across distributed systems.
- Experience with test-driven practices (BDD or ATDD).
- Familiarity with version control systems such as Git.
- Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Requirements
- Nice to Have:
- Experience with Datadog, a tool used for monitoring, investigating issues, and analyzing logs.
- Experience testing event-driven architectures using Kafka.
- Experience working with cloud environments such as AWS.
- Familiarity with BrowserStack for cross-browser testing.
- Experience with configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible.
- Experience in high-traffic or real-time platforms (e.g., betting, gaming, fintech).
