Job Summary

This role is responsible for PR activities within the organization.  Responsibilities include developing and implementing the PR/Communications component for Rentokil’s different Lines of Business (LOBs) and Functions.  In partnership with peers, this role will execute corporate brand positioning, thought leadership and reputation through tradition

Principal Duties and Responsibilities

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required. Responsibilities and essential job functions include but are not limited to the following:

• Collaborate with the Marketing team to plan and execute publicity campaigns.

• Monitor and manage relationships with external stakeholders including influencers, government officials, community leaders, etc.

• Work with PR Lead to implement systems or processes to ensure timely identification of newsworthy issues, events, and people.

• Monitor, maintain and evaluate media coverage and placements through Public Relations management software.

• Manage all aspects of press release development, editorial content, build press relationships and track results.

• Achieve frequent, timely and positive media coverage for Rentokil North America in traditional national and regional media, vertical market publications and on-line.

• Assist with crisis communications, with an ability to manage negative on-line feedback.

• Assist Colleagues with media training for interviews.

• Communicate Rentokil’s superior technical processes and products to differentiate our core offerings.

• Present reports on the effectiveness of campaigns.

CANDIDATE SUMMARY

Required Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in a related area, BA or BS; Master’s degree a plus. 

• 2+ years of Public Relations or Communications

• Strong presentation skills are required.

• Must possess superior verbal and written communication skills.  

• Excellent organizational skills with a heightened sense of attention to detail are key characteristics of the perfect candidate. 

• Strong interpersonal skills that allow for healthy internal and external relationships are a must.

• Additionally, strong computer skills whereby the candidate is fluent in cloud base Marketing Software

• Experience with the Google Platform is a plus. 

• Experience with aspects of both B2B and B2C  branding  processes, including marketing  training, customer relationship management (CRM), product demonstrations, and superior  data analytics capability.

Required Leadership Traits and Characteristics

• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities with a strong understanding of corporate marketing  and influencing key financial performance indicators including content strategies, marketing and digital content.

• Able to demonstrate high levels of drive, work ethic and personal accountability with the ability to work under pressure while maintaining sound judgement and a rigorous focus on the details

Formal Education, Qualifications or Training

Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in a Public Relations, Advertising or Marketing related subject  

Master’s Degree preferred
