Role Description
The Content Marketing Specialist plays a key role in shaping how our brand shows up across digital channels. This role is responsible for creating high‑quality written content that educates, inspires, and drives organic growth. From blog posts and long‑form guides to website copy and campaign assets, you’ll turn product messaging into compelling stories that resonate with our audiences.
You’ll collaborate closely with the marketing team to ensure content is consistent, on‑brand, and aligned with our integrated campaign strategy. This is an ideal role for a strong writer who enjoys translating complex ideas and detailed product specifications into clear, engaging content. This role is remote within the United States.
For this specific position, we are unable to consider candidates who reside in: California, Colorado, Connecticut, New Jersey, New York, Oregon, or Washington. Compensation includes a base salary of $55,000–$60,000 annually, profit‑sharing bonuses, and the benefits listed below.
What You’ll Do
- Write informative, well‑researched content that supports brand visibility and showcases our products and services.
- Produce engaging, audience‑relevant content across blogs, websites, brochures, sales presentations, marketing campaigns, ebooks, whitepapers, and case studies.
- Execute SEO content strategy through keyword‑informed writing, optimized title tags, meta descriptions, and on‑page best practices.
- Maintain content hygiene by updating and improving existing content based on analytics and SEO insights.
- Research topics, follow brand style guidelines, and ensure accuracy, clarity, and consistency across all written materials.
- Translate complex product and service positioning into customer‑friendly narratives.
- Partner with Creative to ensure copy and design work cohesively across assets.
- Contribute to PR and thought leadership efforts through drafting releases, statements, and contributed articles.
- Uphold brand voice, editorial standards, and content quality across all channels.
- Edit and proofread content produced by other team members or third‑party contributors.
- Support integrated campaigns with landing page copy, promotional content, and storytelling assets.
- Contribute to content and campaign performance by reviewing analytics and adjusting content as needed.
- Collaborate cross‑functionally to brainstorm new ideas, strategies, and content opportunities.
- Assist with additional marketing projects and duties as needed.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, marketing, or related field.
- Two to four years of professional writing and editing experience.
- Excellent writing skills with the ability to translate complex topics into clear, engaging content.
- Experience writing about products or services in a professional environment.
- Strong understanding of SEO principles and content optimization techniques.
- Experience with content management systems (WordPress or similar).
- Familiarity with HubSpot is a plus.
- Strong communication skills across verbal, written, and digital formats.
- Ability to work collaboratively across teams and operate with self‑accountability.
- High attention to detail and strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple sources of information.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
- Ability to prioritize, multitask, and adapt to shifting business needs.
- Problem‑solving skills and comfort working with standardized processes.
- Ability to travel 5–10% for strategy meetings, trainings, or events.
- Ability to meet essential job functions in alignment with ADA, FMLA, and applicable standards.
