Job Details

As AnewHealth and our pharmacies Exactcare Pharmacy and CareKinesis Pharmacy continue to expand and automate our fulfillment operations, we are in need of a motivated individual to champion a new created pharmacy engineering function.  As the first member of this team, you will be both hands-on in terms of engineering design as well as strategic in participating in the high level discussions and planning for our facility and fulfillment future.  We have a broad and highly expert team in the most challenging pharmacy and clinical services markets and need a designer to join our team to build and refine pharmacy and facility layouts for our rapid growth.  We anticipate this role to be developmental in nature with potential for elevating within the organization along with our strong anticipated growth.

Responsibilities

  • AutoCAD mastery and full ownership of our facility layouts for our multiple high volume automated pharmacies as well as many office facilities

  • Collaborate with the broader operations team and capacity planning to draft facility concepts that align with the state-of-the-art processes and equipment we specialize in

  • Prepare Requests for Proposal with top-tier pharmacy automation vendors for expansion and efficiency needs

  • Manage the vendor selection and collaborate closely with partners, operations, facilities and IT on detailed project planning

  • Oversee facility modification installations and ensure acceptance testing is executed and successful

  • Periods of travel can be up to 80% during projects going-live followed by periods of reduced travel

  • Collaborate directly with the SVP of operations on cost estimation and building of the pharmacy capital budgets

Qualifications: Facility, capital project engineering and management

 

Education: High school level minimum

Experience: 5+ years of progressive experience in 2-D drafting, equipment layout, facility design, project management

 

Skills & Abilities

  • AutoCAD, solid facility layout and new equipment location drafting experience

  • Equipment relocation and installation coordination and leadership

  • Utilities delivery engineering

  • Project management

  • Capital planning and budgeting

  • Equipment specification to meet business needs

  • Vendor selection, requests for quotation, bidding

  • Interaction with broader teams, operations planning to scale facility and equipment projects

 

Physical/Mental Demands: This position is physical and administrative in nature and will present physical demands requisite to a position requiring: pulling, pushing, lifting, stacking, hearing, seeing, sitting, standing, talking, and walking. The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. May be necessary to work extended hours as needed.

 

Schedule:  This is a full-time position with an expectation to work an average of 40 hours per week and be available outside of normal business hours to meet customer expectations on an ad-hoc basis. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.

Travel:  Travel may be heavy at times with up to 2 successive weeks of out office for project go-live leadership.  Overall travel is expected to be 30% annually.
