This position may be performed remotely anywhere within the United States except for the State of Alaska, North Dakota, or South Dakota. Employees located within 50 miles of a BHN office will be considered a "Hybrid" employee and are required to come into the office 2 days per week based on office schedule.

Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and strategic leader to drive growth and deepen partnerships within Blackhawk’s Enterprise Online Retail Distribution and Content Partner ecosystem. As the Senior Strategic Relationship Manager II, you will take ownership of developing and executing sales strategies that unlock new revenue streams, enhance profitability, and strengthen long-term partner relationships.

In this role, you will collaborate cross-functionally with Business Development, Distribution Sales, Product Management, Marketing, Operations, IT, and Legal to bring innovative initiatives to market. You will lead efforts to expand our online retail footprint, with a particular focus on alternative payment acceptance and emerging digital commerce opportunities.

  • Drive strategic planning and execution with digital distribution and content partners to unlock growth and maximize revenue opportunities.
  • Present, influence, and close new initiatives at senior and executive levels within partner organizations.
  • Collaborate across internal teams to identify, cross-sell, and successfully launch new programs that align with partner and business goals.
  • Identify and lead revenue expansion opportunities through compelling proposals, effective negotiation, and seamless execution.
  • Shape and evolve sales strategies that support Blackhawk’s leadership in alternative payments and digital commerce innovation.
  • Lead and coordinate cross-functional teams—both internally and externally—to deliver on strategic sales initiatives with precision and impact.
  • Champion a customer-first approach by ensuring responsive, high-quality service that strengthens partner relationships and drives long-term success.

Knowledge and Skills Required

 

  • Proven ability to sell-in complex initiatives using excellent solutions and consultative sales skills.
  • Ability to apply creative thinking to the sales process.
  • Ability to understand and manage details of programs and explain key elements to partners and internal teams.
  • Proven ability to think strategically, formulate action plans and sell them through management.
  • Proven ability to present to C-level executives.
  • Ability to build trust with partners and close deals.
  • Ability to learn and communicate complex and intangible product concepts that are still in development.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, time management, and multi-tasking abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous projects on tight deadlines with limited direction.
  • High degree of initiative and keen sense of urgency

 

Experience and qualifications.

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent years of work experience.
  • Minimum +12 year's experience in sales with proven success in Online retail /payments industry.
  • Experience working for Fortune 1000 or marketing services company.

Benefits

OTE (excluding Alaska, California, North Dakota, South Dakota): $146,130.00 to $190,000.00

 

Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, certifications, etc. In addition to your salary, Blackhawk Network offers benefits including 401k with employer match, medical, dental, vision, 12 paid holidays in the year 2026, sick pay accrual according to state law, parental leave, life insurance, disability insurance, accident and illness insurance, health and dependent care flexible spending accounts, wellness benefits, and flexible time off for all full-time employees.
