Role Description

The Supplier Business Partner serves as the strategic link between our organization and key suppliers, driving collaboration, innovation, and shared value creation. This role ensures suppliers are fully aligned with business priorities, performance goals, and long-term objectives. Acting as a trusted advisor and strategic liaison, the Supplier Business Partner strengthens supplier relationships to unlock joint value, improve operational performance, and support business growth.

  • Develop and execute supplier strategies that align with overarching business and category objectives.
  • Lead joint business planning efforts with strategic and key suppliers to foster alignment and drive mutual growth.
  • Champion supplier-led innovation, support sustainability initiatives, and implement risk mitigation strategies.
  • Partner with cross-functional teams—including operations, procurement, product development, finance, and quality—to ensure supplier performance meets both operational requirements and strategic goals.
  • Utilize data and analytics to uncover opportunities for continuous improvement and total cost optimization.
  • Serve as the internal advocate for supplier capabilities and the external ambassador of our company’s values, expectations, and long-term vision.
  • Monitor supplier performance through scorecards, KPIs, and regular business reviews; address underperformance with corrective action plans.
  • Identify and mitigate risks related to supply continuity, compliance, financial stability, and geopolitical factors.
  • Foster a culture of transparency, accountability, and collaboration with suppliers to ensure mutual success.
  • Lead or participate in contract negotiations to ensure favorable terms, service levels, and long-term partnership value.
  • Ensure compliance with all regulatory, ethical, and corporate governance requirements in supplier dealings.
  • Support supplier onboarding and integration processes to streamline ramp-up and align capabilities with business needs.
  • Promote supplier diversity and inclusion initiatives in alignment with corporate responsibility goals.
  • Actively benchmark best practices in supplier relationship management and bring insights to improve internal processes.
  • Collaborate with legal, finance, and other departments on contract management, risk assessments, and supplier audits.
  • Participate in strategic sourcing initiatives and supplier selection processes where applicable.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or a related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in supplier management, sourcing, or procurement.
  • Strong communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to analyze data and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Experience working with cross-functional teams.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CPSM, CSCP).
  • Experience with supplier innovation or sustainability initiatives.
  • Familiarity with procurement or analytics tools (e.g., SAP, Excel, Tableau).

Physical Job Requirements

  • Prolonged periods in a stationary position at a desk and working on a computer.
  • Constantly communicates with employees and leaders, both verbally and in writing.

  • Work environment is remote during regular or extended business hours.
